Overview

We are aware of reports where the LucidLink Classic application unexpectedly quits for SSO-authenticated users on macOS Tahoe 26.4. This issue is specific to users on Apple Silicon devices. It does not affect users on Intel-based Macs.

When this occurs, users may see an error message stating:

Upon attempting to relaunch the application, a secondary error may appear:

Important: Service Continuity

Please note that while the LucidLink Classic UI (the application window) may crash, your data remains safe. All background daemons continue to run uninterrupted.

  • Your mounted filespaces remain accessible through Finder.

  • There is no risk of data loss or performance degradation during this time.

macOS Compatibility Considerations

As macOS continues to evolve with regular updates, similar compatibility issues may arise with future macOS versions. If you experience similar crashes or application issues after updating to newer macOS versions beyond Tahoe 26.4, the same workaround methods described above should apply. We recommend monitoring your LucidLink Classic application performance after any macOS system updates and using the provided workaround steps if needed.

Root Cause

This issue stems from recent changes introduced by Apple in macOS Tahoe 26.4 regarding how Rosetta handles the translation of application binaries. These system-level changes interfere with the application's ability to process certain outputs, leading to the interface crash. Our team is currently working to adapt our software to these new macOS requirements to restore full compatibility.
