Build 2.10.8886
New Features
Upgrades the Linux OS file system drivers
This release upgrades the “LucidFS” (filesystem drivers) integrated into the LucidLink Linux client, delivering significant performance improvements for metadata-intensive workflows:
- Browsing and listing large directories is up to 2× faster.
- Reading recursive directory contents is up to 7× faster.
All other operations, including opening files and write performance, remain unaffected.
Beyond these measured gains, the new drivers consolidate nearly six years of upstream development with notable improvements in compatibility and stability fixes.
Bug fixes
Fixed a regression in RPM packaging bundled system libraries that required GLIBC 2.35, so the Lucid client failed to start on older Rocky Linux 9.0-9.6 releases. RPM packages are built and packaged against GLIBC 2.34, so all Rocky Linux 9 releases are supported. Debian/Ubuntu (.deb) packages were not affected.
