Direct link to Filespace resources

  • Updated

Should you require a direct link to resources available within a Filespace, you can link directly to the root level of a Filespace, individual files or directly to particular folder/subfolder directory structures.

In order to access direct links, the recipient requires a Filespace username and password with appropriate access control permissions to the resource and the LucidLink operating system client installed: please see here for Windows, macOS and Linux client installation instructions

To generate a link to a file or folder, right-click and select 'Copy link'.

When a direct link is pasted into a web browser, the client will launch with the Filespace name pre-populated, at the prompt for credentials - once validated, our operating system client will open directly the file or folder supplied within the link.

Example:

lucid://<filespace.domain>/file/46:13/Video.mpg?reveal=true
LucidLink operating system client must be installed: please see here for Windows, macOS and Linux client installation instructions;
The application must run on the default port (7778), for these features to work.
